Hi, I’m Anna.
I am so glad you are here!
If you are looking for a counselor who is faith-informed, relational and evidence-based, you’re in the right place.
My approach focuses on helping you heal from past experiences, build resilience, and pursue lasting change so that you can live a life that you truly love.
I ask good questions, I offer guidance on how to use practical tools, and I care about you as a whole person.
I provide individual counseling for teens and adults, as well as for couples.
Faith Informed
My faith is an important aspect of why I am a counselor, and I am specifically trained on how and how not to incorporate aspects of my client’s faith in sessions (when they choose to do so). I adhere to the ASERVIC competencies when integrating faith and spirituality into counseling.
RElational
I am a relational therapist, which means that I believe healing happens through connection to other people, and one of those relationships where healing can happen is the therapeutic relationship.
Evidence-Based
My approach to counseling draws from several evidence based models, including Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I talk openly with my clients about the techniques I am using and the “why” behind its effectiveness.
Additionally, I am trained in the Gottman Method of Couples Counseling.
My hope for my clients is that counseling provides them with a deeper understanding of themselves, resources to manage challenging circumstances and difficult relationships, and the hope that change is not only possible, but also accessible to them.
I provide both in-person sessions in Columbus and virtually throughout Ohio.
I am an Out-of-Network Provider, which means that I am unable to accept insurance. I do provide superbills for potential reimbursement. Session fees are $125 per 60-minute Intake and $110 per 50-minute session for individuals, and $150 per 60-minute Intake and $130 per 50-minute session for couples.
I am approved by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board as a Licensed Professional Counselor (License# C.2406689). I received my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary and my Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrated Ministry from Moody Bible Institute.
I am supervised by Molly Fields, LPCC-S (E. 0007858-SUPV).
Outside of the office you will most likely find me hiking through a metro park with my husband and daughter, or becoming overinvolved in a craft project. I love traveling to see family in Wisconsin and Cleveland, and I am an active member of my local church here in Columbus.
