Counseling For Men

Practical and Evidence-Based

For some men, working with a male therapist can feel difficult because of past experiences with other men in their lives who have harmed them- whether that be a father, a coach, or a spiritual leader. Other clients of mine have expressed that working with a man has been challenging because of ideas in our culture about what it means to be vulnerable. There are many valid reasons why you may be considering to see a female therapist.

I am specifically trained in how to counsel men, focusing on what evidence-based practices are the most effective. I believe that is essential for men to have access to counseling that is specific to their needs and takes into account the unique pressures and challenges they face as a man.

Many men seek out counseling because a loved one has asked them to do so. While loved ones often have great insight into the impact of unprocessed experiences and stress, I focus on your goals and perspectives in our counseling.

My clients describe my approach as direct, practical, and compassionate.

I provide both in-person sessions in Columbus and virtually throughout Ohio.

I am an Out-of-Network Provider, which means that I am unable to accept insurance. I do provide superbills for potential reimbursement. Session fees are $125/60-minute Intake and $110/50-minute session.
